Friday Farkle Frenzy — Rules
Last updated: February 5, 2026
Friday Farkle Frenzy is a hosted dice game where the goal is to reach 10,000 points or more
before your opponents. It is held in the Shake, Rattle and Roll channel every Friday at noon Eastern.
The host rolls the dice, takes instructions from the players, and is the final authority on all rules.
Each player competes individually.
Joining the Game
Players may join at any time before the round that precedes the final round.
If you arrive during an active turn, please do not interrupt gameplay.
New players will be added to the roster at the end of the current round and will take their turn
before the next round begins.
Roster Order
- At the start of the game, the host randomizes the player roster.
- In all following rounds, the roster orders from highest score to lowest.
Factor of Fortune & Factor of Fate
At the start of each game, the host rolls six dice to determine the
Factor of Fortune number and the Factor of Fate number.
Factor of Fortune
Each time the Factor of Fortune number appears in a roll, it increases a bonus pot:
- 1st occurrence: +500
- 2nd occurrence: +1000
- 3rd occurrence: +1500
- …and so on
A player collects the bonus pot after banking their points for the turn.
The bonus pot resets to zero if the player farkles or rolls the Factor of Fate number.
Factor of Fate
Rolling the Factor of Fate number is a Fizzle Flop:
- It counts exactly like a farkle (you score nothing for the turn).
- If you roll the Factor of Fate again on your next turn, your entire score resets to zero.
Important: The score reset only happens if the same player rolls Factor of Fate on two turns in a row.
Player Turns
At the start of your turn, the host calls your name and rolls the dice.
On your turn, you must tell the host two things:
- What you see / your scoring options
- How many dice you want to roll, or whether you want to stop and bank your points
Absent Players
If you do not respond within 3 seconds, the host calls your name a second time.
If you still do not respond after 3 more seconds, your turn is skipped.
To rejoin after being skipped, announce yourself during a natural pause at the end of a round.
Until then, you will be skipped.
Scores & Final Round
Scores are first read after Round 2.
If at that time a player has 10,000+ points, the game enters the final round.
Each remaining player is told the score they need to beat the current leader. From there, it’s fight or flight.
Scoring
- Game point: 10,000
- Required to get off the bench: 500
